NO, if the following are true for your situation:

1.  You are a minor who has never had a Louisiana state ID.

2.  You have never been issued a Louisiana state ID or driver's license.

1.  You must be at least 17 years of age.

2.  You must pass:

• Vision,
• Knowledge (written) test, and
• Road skills test to be issued a full license. 

Tests must be successfully completed before the issuance of a license. The knowledge and skills tests are administered by the driver education provider. All road skills tests must be performed at a driving school.
